Day 10 - Songs you listen to when you are Happy, Sad, Bored, Hyped, Mad

Happy: I love to put my ipod and shuffle and just take what it throws at me. Especially those oldies but goodies. Its the best when I am in my car cause I will skip to songs that I can belt it out. I also love to listen to music with a good beat when I am happy. Nothing like getting your groove on.
Sad: I actually like to listen to Punk music when I am Sad. Stuff such as Mayday Parade, The Maine, Boys Like Girls, Quietdrive, you get the point. Most punk music pretty much talks about the crappy of life. It just feels good to listen too!
Bored: Bored is when my Singer/Songwriter music comes in. Strip down to the raw stuff and unbored yourself.
Hyped: Hip-Hop definitely. This is when my best dance moves come out!
Mad: Crystal Castles is a good stuff for me to listen to when I am Mad. It takes me to a whole other place and lets me get rid of some emotions. Also like to listen to some angry rock music. Always makes you feel good.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

We had another snow storm this weekend. The thing about snow this time of year is that it doesn't stay stuck to the road once the sun comes out and it makes those tree's look beautiful. I am ok with snow storms these days...I still would choose spring over it though!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a good music/book update I need to post but until than enjoy this music video of this new song I dig. Rock on!

p.s. I start my new job tomorrow...wish me luck!

Day 09 - Something you’re proud of in the past few days & Monster Jam

I got my toes done the other night... not going to lie. I am pretty proud of them! Even though I didn't do them myself, i love them:
Dang I have cute feet!

MONSTER JAM:
On Saturday night I ruined boys night and joined my Dad, brothers, and nephews for the Monster Truck Rally. I have always wanted to go to one and this was my chance! It was good but honestly not as intense as I was hoping. I think the Energy Solutions Center is a little to small for this kinds of thing. But here are some pics from the evening:
(that above would be a snowmobile doing a back flip if you can see it)

Day 08 - Short term goals for this month and why

Goals... I love & hate goals at the same time. I think goals are very important things but I hate making a goal and not achieving it. Therefor a lot of times I don't make goals and than I just feel good about everything I do achieve...goal or not! But this year things are different for me. Wanna know why? It's 2011 and this is my year =)

So this months goal is to try to figure my body out. Right now it is out of whack... I had a headache from Monday-lunch today (Thursday). I have been lacking energy so so bad and am finding Vitamin B helps (but may also cause headaches...since that all happened at the same time). My new job is going to be requiring me to be to Salt Lake by 730ish so I gotta figure this stuff out. I need energy and I can't get headaches with a new job! I do know that my Heavenly Father will help me though...he's got my back!

I have been debating whether to post my 2011 goals or not on here but I think this is now the perfect time. I think expressing your goals publicly makes you a little more accountable but I didn't want to put this on here because of the one goal about a new job but since that has been laid out in the open I think we are good!
I have done pretty good on everything except the piano & losing 5 pounds... I cannot seem to get out from around my weight... grr!

Day 07 - A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you

First of all I want to thank everyone for the congrats and wishes on my new job! My years of being patient are finally paying off and I have so much support from family and friends. Thanks! It is so nice to be able to put some good news on my blog... I could get use to this! I knew 2011 is going to be a good year!

Now on to my next blogging challenge. If I was to choose one person that has had the biggest impact on me it would be my Mom all the way. She is awesome and is so unselfish in everything she does. She is always putting her family first and is there for everyone. I lover her so so so very much!

I would also like to add the my Dad & my sister have had an impact on me...cause how can you not when you cheese like this:

A couple other people:

President Dieter F. Uchtdorf
This man is full of many many inspiring words. He is the one apostle that I probably have learned the most from.

Jillian Michaels
Who else can kick your trash in a work out, yell at you like there is no tomorrow, and show the upmost compassion and care for you, along with a rockin body? Only Jillian. She rocks.

Day 06 - Favorite super hero and why / Time Out For Women

i am not a big super hero fan. not sure why. they have never been things that really fasinate me. but i do have one i would choose as a favorite:

Elastigirl

she would be a cool mom or be a cool mom to be, plus that is one sexy A outfit =)

This last weekend the girls in our family took the wonderful oppurtunity to go to Time Out for Women. it is a weekend (Friday evening and most of Saturday) full of uplifting and inspirational speakers and music. put on by Deseret Book and they have stops all over the country throughout the year.

this years them was Choose to Become - "All things are possible to him that believeth" Mark 9:23

Our line up was this:

Friday Night:

Virgina H. Pearce (President Hinckley's daughter)

Jason F Wright

Music by Macey Robison

Saturday Night:

Dean Hughes

DeAnne Flynn

John Hilton III

Mathew Baldwin

Kris Belcher

Music by Jericho Road

It's so hard to pick a favorite, they were all good and most of them where pretty funny. i was very very humbled by Kris Belcher but i loved DeAnne Flynn's personality. she is someone i would want to be. and i loved Jason Wrights humor. it was all so good. check this out to see about the presenters. also go here to learn more about TOFW and to check out the 2010 schedule.

Here are some pics. the ones in the middle are from my phone and are not the best.

Day 05 - A picture of somewhere you’ve been

once again how am i to put just one picture! i obviously am not good at making choices... i thought i would highlight a year in my life. in 2009 i had the chance to go on 2 cruises throughout the Caribbean. one of the most amazing times of my life!
here are some pictures in order of my arrival:
(Miami, Florida)

(Bahamas)

(St. Thomas - Virgin Islands)

(Puerto Rico)

(Grand Turks)
(Texas...our cruise left from Galveston but we stayed somewhere else for a while...)
(Jamaica... totally ziplined through the jungle and got asked about my virginity by a young Jamaican man..not awkward at all)
(Grand Cayman... thats right folks, that is a large sting ray in my arms)
(Mayan Ruins of Tulum, near Cozumel, Mexico)
the Caribbean is gorgeous.. i strongly encourage you to go, you will not regret it!
